Appeal „No to wars – Stop the arms frenzy – Building a peaceful and fair future“

This appeal has been initiated by „Ukraine Initiative – Lay down the arms!” („Ukraine Initiative – die Waffen nieder“): Yusuf As, Reiner Braun, Wiebke Diehl, Andreas Grünwald, Claudia Haydt, Rita-Sybille Heinrich, Jutta Kausch-Henken, Ralf Krämer, Willi van Ooyen, Christof Ostheimer, Hanna Rothe, Peter Wahl.

It has been endorsed by 150 leading figures and activists, including: Peter Brandt, historian and son of former Chancellor Willy Brandt; Jürgen Peters, former First Secretary of Germany’s largest trade union, IG Metall, and dozens of trade union leaders; Oskar Lafontaine, former president of the SPD, former vice-president of Die Linke; 10 members of Die Linke in the Bundestag, including Sahra Wagenknecht, Sevim Dagdelen, Gregor Gysi, Andrej Hunko;  Kathrin Otte, national coordinator of the grouping What Is To Be Done?! (Was Tun?!); Harri Grünberg, coordinator of the movement  stand up (aufstehen); and dozens of other leaders of pacifist groups.
